Who: Since 2007, Audrey + Camille LaLaurie, twin sisters with their two distinct but complementary personalities, have been combining their expertise and fresh energy to bring their own special touch to the domain and to build on the heritage that the intuition and hard work of their parents, Jean-Charles and Catherine, helped develop.
Where: Ouveillan, 11590.
Vineyards: Domaine Lalaurie has 52 HA of vines spread over different soil types. This yields wines that have characteristics specific to each soil type.
Cellar: Camille, an oenologist, introduced the ‘latest generation’ of wine-making techniques in order to produce new kinds of wine. Her aim – to enhance the range with wines such as Pays d’Oc and IGP Coteaux de Narbonne.
Fun facts: Audrey’s strengths lie in the field of sales and marketing: communication, packaging, and export hold no secrets for her.
We see this ‘passing of the torch’ often in the world of wine. The next generation takes over control of farming + winemaking + breathe fresh energy into a winery, as their parent’s age. This is the case with Camille + Audrey. Their father still lends his advice and keeps a watchful eye over farming and winemaking, but the two sisters are in the control.
