Les Collines du Bourdic
Who: It all started in 1928 with a handful of winemakers from the villages of Arpaillargues-Aureilhac, Aubussargues, Bourdic and Garrigues-Sainte Eulalie who joined forces to build the Cave Coopérative Intercommunale de Bourdic. Today, we are about one hundred co-operative winemakers. It is in a spirit of unity that each of us is committed to producing quality grapes, keeping in mind the protection of the environment.
Where: Our winery, tasting room + shop are located in Bourdic, 30190.
Vineyards: From St Chaptes to Collias, via Uzès and Ste. Anastasie, our vineyard of 1600 ha extends over a dozen communes. We cultivate Chardonnay, Roussanne, Muscat, Syrah, Marselan, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot… the list goes on + on. The diversity of our grape varieties is great and adapts perfectly to the variety of our terroirs.
Cellar: Since 1928, a priority is given to the vineyard being the most important winemaking tool in which we invest regularly. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and an innovative spirit, over the generations we have developed widely recognized know-how. Often pioneers in the implantation of new grape varieties, such as Viognier in 1993 or Gewurztraminer in 2010, we cultivate a taste for risk and difference.
Fun fact: We have a full-time employee of the winery whose sole task in to visit each of our vineyard plots, over the 1,600 HA under vine, to ensure that our vignerons are in coherence with our sustainable agricultural approach.
